Freedom Kids Coordinator

Job Description


Under the supervision and guidance of the Freedom Kids Director, the Freedom Kids Coordinator will perform all (but not limited to) the following job responsibilities:

  • Ensure the alignment of Freedom Church beliefs and vision in all kids lessons, activities, and videos

  • Plan weekly curriculum and activities for preschool, elementary, clubhouse, and special needs classrooms including creating appropriate leader guides, curriculum prep, and ensuring that teams have everything they need for Sunday.

  • Operate in the current leadership pipeline by utilizing and managing coaches, curriculum teams, and kids production teams

  • Oversee volunteers who order supplies, food, and submit purchases for kids teams 

  • Manage the Kids Decor Team to ensure it aligns with the vision of Freedom Church operations

  • Enforce all policies and procedures by consistently surveying Freedom Kids classrooms and leaders on Sundays, and giving reminders as often as needed.

  • Recruit for all kids teams; interacting with people throughout the church with ICNU conversations in mind. (All positions of the leadership pipeline are expected to recruit.)

  • Participate in ongoing leadership development.

  • Collaborate with volunteers, and other staff members, on all special projects and events including VBS


Time Investment:
This position is based on Sunday hours, with main presence in Freedom Kids, and office hours during the week.

  • Sundays from 7am until all volunteers/kids are gone for the day, and everything is cleaned up and reset for the week.

  • Office hours agreed upon with the kids director including one paid Sundays off a quarter. (the Sunday after Christmas is required to be the paid Sunday off for the fourth quarter) 

  • All hands on deck events including dream team rally, GNO, Christmas Eve, and staff development events including monthly All Staff meeting

  • Family is “all in” including regular attendance, prayer dinners, staff social night 

  • Tithe 10% 

  • Quarterly marriage counseling

  • Participate consistently in a small group
